MEDIUMS (paper vs. canvas)
The major difference between choosing canvas or paper print is in the final presentation of your print.
Paper print will come unframed and will require custom framing. Adding the additional custom framing however will in some cases provide a more finished look.
Archival canvas provides more texture to the print. It will come stretched around bars. This is called gallery wrap. The gallery wrap is done in such a manner that the art is ready for framing without additional custom framing costs.
I have also found that some prints present themselves best in one type media over the other. If you would like a recommendation, please call me at 1 (239) 223-6824. Delivery time will be approximately 7 business days from the time the order is made. I offer free shipping within the United States.
ORIGINAL VERSUS LIMITED EDITION
An ORIGINAL is printed in only one size. This size is not duplicated. An original is also more expensive because there is only one print of its size. Originals are printed only in Archival Fine Art Paper.
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS are smaller and have 5 duplicates in each size. They are signed by me and come with a certificate of authenticity. Once all five limited edition prints are sold, the image in that size is destroyed.
I have tried to create works that fit into standard sizes for archival fine art paper. Dimensions for standard size, ready-made frames are 11″x14″, 16″x20″, and 18″x24″. Ready-made frames can be found in most art supplies or craft stores.
If you need further clarification about which medium or size to purchase, feel more than welcomed to call me at (239) 223-6824.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
A certificate of authenticity (COA) is a document that includes details about the work of art you have purchased. It comes with either an original or limited edition prints. The certificate of authenticity will include the title of the artwork; the size of the print; whether it is an original or limited edition and its value. Both Originals and Limited Edition Prints will be signed by me.
